KIDS Rock

Partnering with families to reach children and guide them into an active faith in Jesus.

At The Rock Church we want your children to know God intimately, to be disciples of Jesus and disciple others, as well as serve Him faithfully. All of our teachers and volunteers are trained and background-checked, and there is always someone on-site who is CPR and First Aid certified.

We have four classes for children:

  • Children (0 - 4 years)
  • K & 1st Grade
  • 2nd & 3rd Grade
  • 4th & 5th Grade

Each of our classes allow time for free play, a Bible lesson, music, craft/activity, and snack. Classes for older kids also incorporate a memory verse and games. Kids Rock is offered during the 11am service.

STUDENT MINISTRY

At The Rock Church we want to build up the next generation to think, love, and live like Jesus. We support our students on their journey to becoming lifelong disciples who make disciples through the study of God's word, finding togetherness with other students, and growing their spiritual maturity. Bible studies are offered Sundays at the 11am service to focus on real life situations our students face. All volunteers are trained and background checked. The Rock Church Student Ministry is open to all students in 6th to 12th grade.

men's ministry

Our men meet monthly for fellowship and Bible study. The first Saturday of each month the men gather for breakfast and a time to be discipled. Feel free to join us and invite a friend too! See our upcoming events page for more information.

Women's Ministry

Discipling Women to Disciple Women

At The Rock Church, our Women's Ministry mission is to come alongside women in this fast-paced, stressful world and invite them to sit at the feet of Jesus. We call women to come away with us and be His disciples as we disciple each other. We meet on the last Saturday monthly at 9am for Coffee, Crepes and Chat. Ongoing as well as special events are designed to draw near to Jesus and to each other. See our Upcoming Events for more information.

welcome team

The Welcome Team ensures that every person who comes to The Rock feels like they belong, from the parking lot all the way to their seat. We seek to create meaningful connections with guests and members each week. Our ministry is to use our God-received gifts to greet, invite, and care for others. Welcome to The Rock!

Cafe Team

The members of the Cafe Team serve coffee and beverages on Sunday mornings, helping people feel welcome and comfortable at The Rock. They also have the opportunity to manage the Cafe for various events hosted by The Rock Church.

Worship Ministry
& Tech Team

Worship is a lifestyle, not just a time devoted to Sunday mornings. At The Rock, we want to be unashamed worshippers all day, every day. Together, we are learning how.

The Tech Team serves the church by providing audio and visual support for weekend services and church events. We desire to serve The Rock with technical excellence to enhance the worship experience for everyone.

sECURITY & mEDICAL tEAM

The Security and Medical Team’s mission is to empower The Rock’s body to worship, grow and disciple others at The Rock without fear or hesitation. This team stands fast to lead through any emergency situation that may arise to keep its congregation safe and secure.

INTERCESSION

Intercession is embracing what God desires and putting it into action by calling out to the Lord. Hebrews 5:7 says that Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear. Oswald Chamber wrote, "Prayer is the vital breath of the Christian; not the thing that makes him alive, but the evidence he is alive." Intercession is necessary and we believe it is a major part of discipleship.

You can join us for intercession:

Sundays: 8 - 8:45am in the Rock Ranch

Tuesdays: 9:30 - 10:30am in the Sanctuary

prayer team

The prayer team is available to pray and meets with people after services to pray and minister to them. Prayer ministers are available throughout the week to pray as well. We believe prayer is powerful and Jesus made it possible for us to boldly enter into prayer and let our requests be made known to God! How can we pray for you?

Disciple Making Movement (DMM)

We are starting to host DMM trainings on a regular basis. If you are interested, please contact the office: Info@therockofsahuarita.com.

The Disciple Making Movement is about doing what was done in the first century... giving the Gospel to a people and teaching them to obey it; seeing them become faithful disciples of Christ; leaving them to struggle in obeying the Word of God in their own context and history, and allowing them to develop their own unique practices of worship, leadership, and governance within the confines of biblical obedience.

Disciple makers first teach people the word of God so they will know what to obey. Second, they train people in the skill sets necessary to be an obedient follower of Christ so they will know how to obey. And third, disciple makers equip people to their full capacity to serve God and others so they demonstrate lives of consistent obedience and make more disciples.

The Disciple Making Movement is done in a small group setting. There are several reasons groups are so powerful:

  • Groups remember more than individuals. The picture example.
  • Groups learn faster than individuals.
  • Groups replicate faster than individuals.
  • Groups replicate more often than individuals.
  • Groups are a protection against bad leadership and heresy.
  • Groups self-correct.
  • Groups keep individuals accountable.
