Rejoice That Your Names Are Written in Heaven

From Pastor Shemalya King

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” - Luke 10:19-20

I'm not sure that the disciples knew HOW important this encouragement waswhat to rejoice in. He told them NOT to rejoice because the evil spirits were subject to them. That was important but not as important as their names written in the book of life.

As I was reading the book of Revelation, I realized the importance of our names being written in the book of life. The devil will rise up with great power as the end times unfold in these last days. His false christ will rise up with blasphemies and will do great exploits causing the world to wonder and marvel. He will make war with the saints. He (the false christ/the beast) will make all the inhabitants of the earth worship the devil/the dragon. The entire world will be satanists

Here's what we are to rejoice about: that our names ARE WRITTEN in the book of life. “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” - Revelation 13:7-8.

Whose names will be found in the book? Those who do the will of the Father. Those who are morally blameless and ceremonially consecrated (this is accomplished by the blood sacrifice of Christ). This verse shows the deception of the wrong rejoicing–those casting out demons but aren't true saints: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” - Matthew 7:22-23.

Rejoice my brothers and sisters because your names are written in the book of life. Amen.
