Why Serve?

Jesus set the example:
"For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." – John 13:15 Jesus washed His disciples' feet, a servant’s task, to show that no act of service is beneath a leader. When people see leaders serving with humility and joy, they’re more likely to follow suit. Serve first, and let your actions be the loudest sermon to our body!
Jesus wants us to have a heart to serve like He does:
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." Mark 10:45 Serving is central to being Christ-like—not just a task, but a calling. Pray for God to soften your heart to serve and to guide you to where He wants you to serve others.
Discover your gifts:
"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." 1 Peter 4:10 Many people hesitate to serve because they don’t know where they fit. Explore your spiritual gifts by trying to serve in different ways to gain confidence and clarity in how to serve best! It's okay to move around in ministry until you find the right fit for you!
We invite you to get involved:
"The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Matthew 9:37–38 People often don’t step up simply because they haven’t been asked or don’t see a clear need. I can assure you, with the recent growth at The Rock, we need YOU! "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves." Acts 2:42 The early Church served together, shared everything, and supported each other. That culture created a natural outflow of service. Get involved in a small group by signing up HERE and get connected!
