Made to Serve

Humanity was created with the purpose of serving and glorifying God through obedient relationship, stewardship, and good works. As Scripture declares in Isaiah 43:7, “everyone who is called by My name, whom I created for My glory, whom I formed and made.” This echoes the creation account where God placed Adam in the garden “to work it and keep it” (Genesis 2:15), establishing service as humanity’s original calling. Ephesians 2:10 further sums it up: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do,” showing that true service flows from being restored in Christ to fulfill the purposes for which we were made—bringing glory to our Creator through faithful living and love for others.
So many of you serve and glorify God well! Out of 205 current Rock Church members, 160 people are serving at The Rock! That is 78% of our people that are committed to serving God by serving each other. That is to be celebrated! We have heard that 80% of the work is done by 20% of the people...not at The Rock! We thank God for each of you who faithfully serve God by serving each other.
Are you ready to serve? We have several areas of need at The Rock, and we invite you to jump in! Our biggest needs are currently in the Welcome Teams (for both English and Spanish services) as well as our Kids Rock Team. Several other ministries include Worship, Tech, and Security - all for both English & Spanish services - as well as Women's Ministry, YouTube Team and the Events Team. As we continue to grow, we need you! Praise God for a body that encourages serving Him through obedient relationship, stewardship, and good works. We will make disciples to make disciples together!
